Handmade Wood Rolling Pins. Made In Woodland, PA - USA.

My handcrafted wood rolling pins are made from domestic and exotic hardwoods.  I rarely make two that are the same and I usually use whatever combinations of wood I have on hand at the time,  The wood is cut into thin strips (I start with 5-14 strips) and then I glue them  together into a blank. The blanks are left to cure for several months.  I then mount and turn the blanks on my lathe. I put on a coat of hand rubbed oil every day, sanding between coats. The sanding/oiling process takes about a week.

Hand Wash Only!   Never put any wooden rolling pins or cutting boards in a dishwasher. The high heat and harsh detergent will remove the finish and crack the wood.

My rolling pins usually contain about a dozen strips show when they are finished.  Both sides are different.  All the wood is kiln dried. They are heavy! Here is a wedding gift that will last a lifetime +.   I have met many people at shows that told me they have their grandmothers wooden rolling pin.   Finish is food grade oil. 

These are not mass produced, but are made in my workshop one at a time by hand, so I never have a large inventory and often have no finished pieces on hand.
